After installing Gramps 6.0, the program starts normally. When I close the program and start it again, I get an error message saying that libgcc_s_seh-1.dll cannot be found and that I should reinstall the program. When I do that, Gramps runs again until I close it.
I’m using Win 11 23H2.
Which Windows build are you using? They all use a different version of cx_Freeze.
Build | cx_Freeze version |
---|---|
GrampsAIO-6.0.0-beta1-1_win64.exe | 7.2.9 |
GrampsAIO-6.0.0-beta1-2_win64.exe | 7.2.8 |
GrampsAIO-6.0.0-beta1-3_win64.exe | 7.2.10 |
The first build has a known problem.
I use GrampsAIO-6.0.0-beta1-1_win64.
I will try the beta1-3.
It works now with this Build
thx
Thanks for testing! There were lots of changes, and we need testers.
Could I ask is it likely there will a .deb of the Beta I was thinking I
might spend sometime installing from the .zip but then concluded it is
that long since I did it would make more errors (and waste time) doing this.

The Ubuntu builds failed. We need someone to investigate.
Do you need a developer to investigate or could an unskilled person help
in anyway
phil
It will need to be a developer or someone familiar with deb files.
OK back to Plan A will have look at the .zip/tarball
