The idea of showing associated people was also suggested by @Urchello here and the process description sounds similar to what is explained in the thread you linked (using yED, generating a gv file).
I have some basic ideas in mind for showing associated people, but unfortunately, I have very limited time to work on FTV right now. I first want to finish features I’m working on before looking at other feature requests.
