I opened my TNG gedcom-file with an editor (that don’t change anything)
and got following:
Encoding: KOI8-U (info from the editor)
1 CHAR ANSI
(line in gedcom-file)
and changed to
Encoding: UTF-8 (with editor)
1 CHAR UTF-8
(line in gedcom-file)
and saved it.
When I imported that gedcom-file all swedish characters were correct.
Also the problems with images were solved since I discovered in TNG there was an option ‘Export media links’ with a path.
So all in all … thank you guys for your support.

@rajan … Could you drop a couple screen shots of those option and/or paths to where those options live in TNG? (You could edit the post above and mark it as the ‘solution’.) [Done]
It’d be good to add those ‘lessons learned’ to a new TNG subsection of the Import from another genealogy program wiki article.
It could save the next user some time.
Great to see that one of my first suggestion actually worked…
Even though it didn’t come from a Linux or Developer “expert”
Simple is often better…
