Grampsiin on tanskalainen K. Mickels (@kmikkels) kehittänyt uuden mielenkiintoisen laajennuksen, lyhyesti HistContext.
Addon:Historical Context - Gramps
Valmiita HistLuetteloita on jo useita, pandemioista, presidenttikausista, valtiollisista tapahtumista.
Testausmielessä Kari kopioi suomalaisista valtiollisista tapahtumista luettelon fi_FI_data_v1_0.txt
ja se tallennettiin Gramps AIO64-6.0.0–1:ssa laajennuksen kansioon. Lopputulos näkyy oheisessa kuvassa, jossa valittuna on Jean Sibeliuksen isä Christian.
Eikun kokeilemaankin.

saatat haluta jakaa Karin CSV-tiedoston sisällön.
Lähetä se tänne kahden 3 takapukin väliin. (```
)
Voimme tehdä julkaisun “wikiksi”, jotta kuka tahansa voi lisätä sitä.

You might want to share the contents of Kari’s CSV file.
Post it here between two set of 3 back ticks. (```
)
We can make the posting into a ‘wiki’ so anybody can add to it.
Later, but first I have some remarks of an other file “fi_FI_government_v1_0.txt”. It contains all heads of Imperial Russia and general guvernors in Finland 1809-1917 and presidents and governments of Republic of Finland. See https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/2dhxb0fymwiuajugdafom/fi_FI_government_v1_0.txt?rlkey=e5zas9cw3ho8oabz8j1iqlcbl&dl=0
Two problems: if the second date is missing, HistContext list replases it with “today” or date of preceding line. See in pictures Nikolai Turbin and Adam Lipski. Or am I doing something wrong?
Version of HistContext is 0.2.29 and I run W11 plus Gramps 6.0.0
We should draw the attention of Kaj @kmikkels to this thread.
If the second date is missing, the event is considered “ongoing”, which is why i add today as the date.
Why it replaces the empty date with date from previous line, i have no idea - it must be a bug. I will take a look later this week.

As far as I can see, it is doing as intended.
An empty “to string” should be considered ongoing, and be replaced by today, which it is doing in both your examples.
The you have another line for Adam Lipski, which holds only a year.
In the “to field” a year will be replaced by the last date of that year.
In the “from field” it will be replaced by the first date of that year.
So - it is doing as expected, what was you expecting it to do?
I think the confusion is that you have two lines for Adam Lipski - or am I missing something?

Olet oikeassa. Liitteenä uusi korjattu ja täydennetty fi_FI_government_v2_0.txt tiedosto.
Right. Find corrected and enhanced file fi_FI_government_v2_0.txt
An idea: I have used some abbreviations in front of person name showing titel, to filter person. Could the file begin with a line of hints of them? I believe that it is useable in every file.
I am not sure I understand - could you elaborate a little?
Eg. I used wording “genr_kuv vt” to express the person was not permanent guvorner general. Or used finnish word “hallitus” for cabinet. If somebody non native uses my file he sure does not understand them. First line of file could contain explanations and would differ from other real time based fakta lines.
So if i dont use lines starting with a # , it would give the possibillity for makin remarks, and thus do what you want?
Nice and simple way. Could you anyhow show this line eg. as first line but bypassed in filtering? Second thought is that I like put an URL in the text so longer explination can be recorded or address of original source of lines.
