I am running Gramps 6.0.8 on Windows 11. I prefer to input dates in the Hebrew calendar, which Gramps converts (behind the scenes) to the Gregorian date. There is a slight problem, however. Hebrew days start at sunset, whereas Gregorian dates start at midnight. Therefore, an event that took place between sunset and midnight will not convert properly from the Hebrew date to the Gregorian date. Is there some way to add a toggle to Gramps that when checked will let Gramps know to convert the Hebrew date to the previous Gregorian day?
By entering the date with a calendar override, the display will remain in the specified format but still be calculated as a date, not as text. (It is unlikely that it considers the Hebrew date as potentially being withing a 2-day Gregorian calendar date span. I know the Date manager understands different Calendar year starting days. I doubt it has handling for a Sunset/Midnight day starting time.)

Thank you, but I do input the data using the dropdown menu and selecting Hebrew. My question was if there was some way to override the standard Gregorian conversion in limited situations. If I understand you correctly, the answer is “No”.
There is not a Dual Calendar readout option. Sound like it could be something created as an addon view though.
