My name is Ilsur Irnazarov. I am from the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia.
I’ve been collecting my family tree for about 20 years. There are 1474 persons in my tree.
I use the desktop program: https://genery.com/
The principle of compiling a Bashkir pedigree differs from Western pedigrees. Our branches are filled only in the male line. When searching for people, there is a lot of information about other people who are not included in the classical family tree. I have no right to lose this information. It needs to be preserved.
That’s why I found the Gramps program, which can build branches along the female line and has many other useful functions.
Then I found the Gramps Web project. I read how David Straub came up with the idea to create a program for compiling a pedigree on the Internet.

I installed the Gramps Web program on a Windows 10 laptop with Docker Desktop. First, I saved and transferred the family tree to Gramps, and then saved and transferred it to Gramps Web.
I wanted to register on DigitalOcean and Grampshub, but due to the sanctions, I can’t make the payment.
On Russian hosting https://beget.com/ I have registered a VPS and a domain: grampsweb.ru
I installed the Gramps Web program: https://grampsweb.ru /
Everything is set up well, everything is functioning.
I believe that the Gramps Web program will be in demand in Russia and the CIS countries.
I wrote a letter to David Straub. David replied.
Domain grampsweb.ru we decided to keep the Gramps Web with Russian documentation for the site.
For residents of Russia, I want to launch a website similar to Grampshub. You need to select a new domain.
Perhaps there are people among you who can help install Gramps Web for registration of many users. If anyone wants to help, please think about and consider installing the Gramps Web program on a Russian hosting. So that people can create, store, and share their family trees.
I will provide the login information for the hosting. Hosting is available in two languages, there is English.
I assume there will be two sites: one with Russian Gramps Web documentation with Material for MkDocs, the second site will be similar to Grampshub for free registration of Russian users. To pay for hosting, I offer Russian Internet banking services instead of Stripe.
I use a translator to translate the letter.
