Gramps-6.0.0 "Two Gramps application data directories exist."

Gramps-6.0.0 on Slackware Linux:

In v5.2.4 there was one ~/.gramps directory with all user data. In v6.0.0 user data reside in ~/-local/share/gramps. Well and good.
However, if I click “Geography” in the right hand column, map images are created and stored in ~/.gramps
Then, when starting in terminal I get the “Two Gramps application data directories exist.”
Is this intended? Shouldn’t stored map data also be stored in ~/-local/share/gramps ?
The database and backup paths are set to /home/kgha/.local/share/gramps/grampsdb in Preferences >
What am I missing?

You can ajust that with the geography preferences:

The default value is

GEOGRAPHY_PATH = os.path.join(USER_CACHE, “maps”)

else this is the “geography.path” preference environment in gramps.ini
