Feeling Stupid today. Can't get filter to work

I just want to list all the People that DO NOT have a Birth Date starting with “before”.

I have tried many combinations of the “regular expressions” and can’t get what I want.

I can list people with only “before” in the date, but if I turn on “don’t match”, it also retunes people that have “before” in the date field.

What is the correct filter string to get this result?

I would temporarily set the Limits preferences for Before to 1 or zero.

After that, filtering “Before” date calculations becomes easier to visualize.

And use From…To in you Filter parameters

I’m not trying to find a specific date. I just want to eliminate any person with a birth date that has “before” in the date field. What is strange, I can easily list ones with the “before” in the field, but can’t get a list without the “before” in the date field.

I did a test and was having no luck using a regular expression on the date field.

This should work as a one time temporary filter.

In the Events list, close the sidebar bringing up the literal filter of the list columns.

Select Date contains and enter the value before. This will allow you to tag the events with before. Then you can create the filter for not tagged. Then the filter for Birth and not tagged. Then the People who match the Event filter. Not pretty and to reuse the filter you would need to tag any new ‘before’ events.

But that will create your list.

The alternative is maybe the generic Isotammi event filters can filter the not ‘before’ events as its own filter. I am not a user of these filters.
