Hello everybody from Austria,
first of all – thanks a lot for providing this piece of software! I just got into researching my ancestors, and Gramps Web lets me share my findings (including old pictures & documents) with my larger family, which is what I’m aiming to do in the next days.
Now to my wish for Gramps Web:
I uploaded a lot of pictures, and from the feedback I got, that’s the main thing my family is interested in – so I expect them to use the media viewer a lot. While navigating it myself, I missed an easy way to browse through the pictures: in the full-screen viewer (opened from a person’s or family’s gallery), it would be great to move to the next/previous image directly – by swiping on mobile, and with arrow keys or prev/next buttons on desktop, like in a phone’s picture gallery.
I found related discussions about zooming in the viewer ( #1152, #1418), but nothing about navigation between images. Is this something others would find useful too? I’m not an experienced contributor yet, but I’d be happy to try implementing this in the frontend if someone could point me in the right direction.
Best, Florian
