Exporting Based on Filter Not Working

I have used for a long while on 5.2.4 a filter which starts with find Active person and then puts together a group of people based on that active person that I can export. Select the person in Person View and then goto Export option and I have a GEDCOM file with the selection from my main tree.

However using the same set of filters on ver 6.0.6 as soon as I go to Calculate Preview it tells me there is no Active Person which is false.

Anybody seen this before.

I recall that the Active Person addon rule needed a tweak. Have you installed the addon Rule pack’s update?

I am running version 0.0.14 of The active person which I thought was the latest

I am on 6.0.6 and the Active person is 0.0.14

When I tested the filter rule it gave me the error. But I have no problem actually running a filter based upon the Active Person filter

Yes if you are on Person View and just run the filter it works it is when you go to Export and select GECDCOM then select the same filter it does not work

I have never had the Active Person as the starting point of a filter work for an export. Nor does it work with filters for tools and reports.

Is that error with the Test in the Edit ‐> <category> Filter Editor?

Or the one in thr FilterParams dialog?

Yes. Test the selected filter.

I never use it but I noticed that was what @comeng posted, not the actual running of the filter
