Websync problem

I am synchronising between gramps web on a vps server and my local linux install.
(Both latest stable versions)

Websync sometime behaves quite strange.
I added a note on server. After this I tried to synchronise to my laptop.
After a long time comparing databases, websync wanted to merge about 18.000 notes.
Because I do have a good backup I just went ahead. That takes quite a while. It is still running.

What could be the cause?

please provide version info first, for both Gramps Web and Gramps Web Sync.

multi-tree: false

The versions on my laptop:
Python: 3.12.3
sqlite: 3.45.1
orjson: 3.11.8
LANG: en_GB.UTF-8
OS: Linux
Distribution: 6.8.0-138-generic

I just managed to recreate this behaviour:

• created a new note attached to a media object.
• Saved the media object.
• After this I saw there was a typing error. I corrected that and saved the note again.

Then I tried to synchronise with the results that you see in the attachment.
