I have asked myself the same question as you for a long time: the data in Gramps is strictly hierarchical and therefore access to some of this data is difficult.
This is the case for Citation/galleries
The most effective solution I use is Nick Hall’s Relations/Combined view in the events tab…great!!!

Otherwise there is
- the Citations gramplet —> the results on first reading may appear inconsistent: for example a single Citation appears several times (the citation justifying several individual events)
- The Biography express report is not bad but frozen report
