Sources and Citations: some thoughts

Creating citation formatter plugins would seem like the way to go here. We could write a default formatter for Gedcom fields, another that uses templates, and perhaps another that generates Chicago Manual of Style compatible citations. I have already experimented with this and it works quite well.

Can some of this conversation be used to understand the purpose of the “Add support for CITE plugins” PR#1403 until documentation is developed? And is the creation of CITE plugin relevant to GEPS 018: Evidence style sources?
