I am new to the system and heard about graph view by poking around in this group. Does anyone know if it is possible to move the tiles around in graph view to make them look better? The current way it sets up automatically now is funky with a lot of lines crossing over each other for no reason and all and makes it hard to follow.

All views have some configuration options which can be reach through the Configuration icon. 
The Graph View has a few other options by right-clicking in an empty part of the view. You can select Lines Type. You may find the Ortho option may be more to your liking.
Drag & Drop is not possible the positioning and lines is down to the
underlying Graphviz suite, one that annoys me somewhat is that if you
sort Children into Birth order it looks good until you add in a marriage
then order gets shifted and the marriage forces that individual to the
far left of the family.
I have found it best to filter by selecting an appropriate individual to
show the area of importance in it’s simplest form no more than 4 or 5
generations dependent on screen size
