Just checking if we’re still ‘live’.

Yes it has. Back in February when you asked…
True. There had been 2 recent eMails about Discourse maintenance. So it seemed reasonable to check.
Perhaps everyone is waiting for more news of v6.1??
I am actually using 6.1 to manage and work on my database. Think of it as 6.0.9. The only reason for the 6.1 major new version was the new integration of FamySearch. But until we can unlock the feature and test it it is just the next 6.0 release.
Just know that the help links point to a 6.1 wiki that was not rolled over. To access the help wikis you just need to change 6.1 in the url to 6.0.
Once the new FS feature can be unlocked, you will need to/should create a TEST database to test the feature. Testing should not be done on your working database untill you understand how the FS integration affects your records.
I am assuming if you want nothing to do with FS Integration we can
ignore the idea of creating a test database etc on next upgrade
phil
Until I know what the integration does I am withholding judgement. But I fear it will take more time to clean records than manually entering data. But if it keeps me logged in to FS, maybe it will be worth it instead of logging into the site 15 times a day.
Perhaps there will not be a reason to roll over the full manual… until 6.2 where there are likely to be major interface changes.
Instead, a FamilySearch portal guide could be produced as a segregated chapter
That’s something that @SourceAirbender and @clarkegj will probably have an opinion.
6.1 will probably only exist in beta versions. It’s understandable why the wiki hasn’t/won’t be rolled over untill 6.2. But there are two small little bugs in 6.0.7 and .8 (thumbnails and places cashes) that are fixed in 6.1.
I think that we are very close to getting our certification.
I’ll merge outstanding bugs over the weekend in preparation for a release early next week. We will then open up the FamilySearch Integration to wider public testing.
