Website looks to be returning to normal but I’m still unable to login to the Cpanel .
Intermittent disruptions to your services due to higher than normal internet traffic to server. Hosting and website services might be briefly unavailable.
Our infrastructure team are currently investigating and working on a fix as a priority.
@Nick-Hall The banners only show I have the website in read-only mode while I upgraded to WordPress 7.0.3, then I did a backup of the website and downloaded the backup, But before I could move the website out of read-only mode I was kicked out of the Cpanel !
This has been happening quite frequently over the last 18 months ever since World Host Group (WHG), acquired A2 Hosting in January 2025! These issues may be related to email that @bmatherly received on July 29, 2026 that mentioned:
Hi Brian,
I wanted to reach out personally because you’ve been hosting your VPS with us on our legacy A2 infrastructure for quite some time, and I wanted to give you a heads-up about some exciting changes that are coming.
Following our recent acquisitions at hosting.com, we’ve invested in a new generation of VPS infrastructure. Our long-term goal is to migrate all VPS customers onto this modern platform, which delivers significantly better performance, improved reliability, and enhanced security compared to our legacy nodes.
Before we start doing mass migrations, we are reaching out to a select group of our long-term clients to offer a white-glove upgrade process. Instead of waiting for an automated server move, I’d like to help you migrate on your own schedule.
To make the move even easier, we’re also offering custom pricing for eligible customers. In many cases, we can structure an upgrade that fits comfortably within your current budget.
The result of my discussion with hostingcom about that migration and cost was that our setup was a bit too complicated for the migration, and he recommended based on current traffic to consider moving to a dedicated server!
@emyoulation Website is not running out of space and the error is more in line with traffic overwhelming the website.
