A while back there was a discussion here on the forum about adding a feature to use existing People as Authors for Sources. I don’t know if there has been any further talk about this since then — maybe Brian knows more about the status.

Thanks for recollecting that 2021 thread. It was “Authors are people too”. Unfortunately, even with 790 views of the threads, there were a tiny number of ‘likes’ and only a smattering of responses. So it seemed like a submitting a feature request would have been a squandered effort.
