[PR 746](https://github.com/gramps-project/addons-source/pull/746) was created which updates many Addon translation files for Polish, which was the process before the Addons were moved to Weblate. Is there a simple way to take all of these changes (68 pl-local.po files) and update them in Weblate, rather than redo all of this work manually in Weblate?

I am not a Weblate user.

When you have selected a language for a component in Weblate, the _Files_ menu contains the options “Download translation” and “Upload translation”. Using these it is possible to download a translation and then use an external tool or [command line](https://gramps-project.org/wiki/index.php/Gramps_6.0_Wiki_Manual_-_Command_Line) utility to make changes before uploading it again.

So you could use the commands `msgmerge` and `msgcat` to make bulk changes. I don’t make such changes myself.

Maybe you can give a try to the “memory” section on ‘[setup.py](https://github.com/gramps-project/addons-source/blob/1650d377c9d4017dae65fd949471893faded7144/setup.py#L609)’? Which should still work as a standalone python script.

1.
# get all of the addon strings out of the catalog (ie. via msggrep)
2.
# start with Gramps main PO file
3.
# concat global dict as temp file (ie. via msgcat, msgcmp, etc.)
