# Ubuntu's App Center GRAMPS version

There’s a Linux Ubuntu’s App Center GRAMPS version 6.0.6 available for download, which I currently use. However, for some time already I was waiting for 6.0.7 to appear there. In the meantime, already GRAMPS version 6.0.8 was just released and not only it’s not in the App Center, but even version 6.0.7 is still not there. Is there any possibility that Ubuntu’s App Center would regularly offer a current GRAMPS version? Unfortunately, today it offers only a very outdated one.

Linux Ubuntu’s App Center is offering you the Snap package which I usually create for every release. However, we noticed a problem with 6.0.7 and I thought that users would probably be better waiting for 6.0.8. I’ll try to get the Snap for 6.0.8 published tomorrow.

Thanks, that’s cool!

It would be great for Gramps users not reading this forum to be able to learn (e.g. from some in-built notification) why they might not be able to download the latest version from the App Center.
