I downloaded vs 6.0.3 on a MAC

You will have to explain your problem more clearly before any one can help you. If English is not your native language use your own and also use a translation website and post both versions.

In the menu line there’s a [Family Trees], from there select [Manage Family Trees]. In the Manage Family Trees you can rename an existing unnamed tree.  
If you somehow changed the path to the database, you’ll need to reset the path. Gramps-\>Settings-\>Family Tree: field ‘Database path’.
