**Gramps v.6.0 on MacOS Ventura**
I have installed two plugins - Graph View and FamilyTreeView. Icons for both are missing in the toolbar

 ![icons missing](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/free1/uploads/gramps/original/2X/1/15167dac3a44564016fb2e67797cdab6c4be43cd.png)

In Gramps v.5.2 plugins were installed in

> ~/.local/share/gramps/gramps52/plugins

In Gramps v.6.0 plugins are installed in

> ~/Library/Application Support/gramps/gramps60/plugins

Wondering if it is this change of location that is the cause?

Generally, that indicates that addons failed to load. Now you need to track that down.

Both of those addons need a prerequisite.

Did you check the Addons tab of the [Addon Manager](https://gramps-project.org/wiki/index.php/Gramps_5.2_Wiki_Manual_-_Navigation#Using_the_Addon_Manager) for “uninstalled” addons? (Remembering to select the “All” filtering for Audiences and Statuses)

I believe that you will see a Requires button that indicates that ypu have not fulfilled a required manual install of an external library.

No, no. Both add-ons works fine. It’s just the icons in the toolbor that are missing. I guess that the shown icon is a standard replcement, for when the add-on’s icon is not found.

I have the same Mac issue with 6.0 icons using default but 5.2 icons okay. I use
`Library/Application Support/gramps/gramps51/plugins`
and
`Library/Application Support/gramps/gramps60/plugins`
so it is not the plugin folder.

When I run gramps6.0, I get a warning:

`Gtk- **WARNING** **: 10:24:46.177: Found an icon but could not load it. Most likely gdk-pixbuf does not provide SVG support.`

I think this verifies that this is from the bug [0013728: Add-ons icons don't show in the toolbar - Gramps - Bugtracker – Free Genealogy Software](https://gramps-project.org/bugs/view.php?id=13728)

@GaryGriffin
Problem solved here:

> @csam @ztlxltl It is quite simple to correct manually the packaging problem, if you have Gramps 5.2.4, if you are not afraid to look inside the app bundle. In the Finder, select the Gramps (5.2.4) app, right click and select “show contents”, then go to Contents\>Resources\>lib\>gdk-pixbuf-2.0\>2.10.0\>loaders In another Finder window, do the same thing with the Gramps (6.0) app. You can see that there is a file named libpixbufloader\_svg.dylib (which is a wrong format) while the others are .so Copy…

Changing the loaders.cache file as described by @Bouscram also has effect on the icons in the Notes editor

With the loaders.cache from the v6.0 package

With the loaders.cache copied from the v5.2 package
