Hi Gramps forum,

I review Gramps on my website (gratissoftwaresite.nl) Is it allowed to use the Gramps logo in the review and software listing on my site?

best regards,

Matthijs

As long as you do not represent yourself as being a Gramps spokesperson/official, this would seem to be acceptable.

Using logos and brand names to decorate review sections and comparison tables would fall under “fair use”

[An interesting **Comment** made by one of your visitors (Frens)](https://www.gratissoftwaresite.nl/downloads/gramps-genealogie-stamboom-hobby) is about being annoyed by intrusive tooltips. They asks if there is a way to turn tooltips off. They posted a possible workaround for themselves an hour later:

Changing the `gramps.css` (but only an option if one has Admin rights)

```python
tooltip {
opacity: 0;
}
```

This is not a complaint I had seen elsewhere. But it is very reasonable.

Thanks for providing a forum that allows users to air such opinions!

added a `SemiTransparentTooltips.css` to the patches that I apply with a hacked Themes addon.

```css
/*
Gramps genealogy software
Semi Transparent tooltips
https://gramps.discourse.group/t/9990/3
suggested by Frens on gratissoftwaresite.nl
  https://www.gratissoftwaresite.nl/downloads/gramps-genealogie-stamboom-hobby
*/
 tooltip {
  opacity: 0.75; /* percentile: 0.00 fully transparent to 1.00 Fully opaque */
}
```
