family tree imported from gramps 5.2.4, Debian Linux Hello I’m happy to have grampshub going. But I cannot edit existing notes, nor determine a path to a media object. There’s no way I can correct anything in existing notes. I can only delete them or create new ones though it’s still impossible to link words to media objects. There’s another difficulty : in some notes media objects don’t show up, though they can be downloaded (if they can be downloaded the link is not broken, there must be another problem). I think the only way to edit notes in GrampsWeb, is to go to Lists-\>Notes and then find the note you want to edit. This can be quite tedious having thousands of notes, but it is doable. ---

There is only a delete/add/link button because you can only delete the note reference or add a new one **to the person**. If you want to edit the note, you first need to open it. Before you went to edit mode, there was a “DETAILS” button beneath that note. Thanks for your reply. At last I’ve managed to add a sentence to one particular note. There is still one question: when I want to link a date or a word to a media objet stored in the media files, the only option I have is to indicate a url. How can I indicate a path to a media object? ---

Already done. But I only get about 20 person or event notes, and citations as suggestions, when there are over 1000 media objects. My screenshot was a bad example. You can’t search for “media”. You can search for the media object’s Gramps ID or for its description. If your media object doesn’t show up, check if the search index is complete (settings → administration). The search results in the dropdown are the same ones as in the search view (only that it automatically appends a `*` so you can search for incomplete words). ---
