# How would you start a tree from a Source?

I still add them as events, even if they’re sometimes unrelated, if only to mention them in a note with a link to the event record, as @StoltHD explained.

I may add a To Do note indicating that when the [events attached to the places become available (in v6.1?)](https://gramps.discourse.group/t/core-classes-in-gramps-gen-lib/2241/21), this event should be linked to a particular place.
