# Host grampsweb visible without login?

I have hosted TNG (php based genealogy software) for probably 10 years now. It has done well for me, but I started looking around and then found GrampsWeb.

One thing I like about TNG is that it can be left open (for viewing) on the internet so that others can see it too. Is there a way to run GrampsWeb so that it is open for viewing (and changes require a login)?

Hi,

Gramps Web is not meant to be made accessible without login.

What _is_ possible is to create user accounts that only have read access. So you can give access to users who cannot change anything.

But if you want a website that is visible to the public internet, a Gramps web report like narrated web site would be more suitable.
