In the How Does It Work? subsection of the [Talk to your Tree](https://gramps.discourse.group/t/talk-to-your-tree/6298) posting introducing the AI chat feature, David states that “_no model training is needed on Gramps data_”.

That posting goes into some more detail of the AI approach that was taken.
