I’m running Gramps 6.0.8 on Ubuntu 26.04.02.

I want to export part of my tree (ancestors of one person) as CSV - I’m sure I’ve done this before with no problems.

Now I get a CSV file that only lists all the locations in my complete tree, and no names. I’ve tried a GEDCOM, and that gives me just the people I want, but still includes every location regardless of if they are connected to the people or not.

I’m using Libre Calc to view the CSV, and Gramps to import and view the GEDCOM.

Thanks for any advice!

That inclusion of the full Place Tree (versus just those associated with exported Persons) is a selection in the [Reference Filter](https://www.gramps-project.org/wiki/index.php/Gramps_6.0_Wiki_Manual_-_Manage_Family_Trees#Reference_Filter:) option of the Export wizard.

Thanks for that - can’t think how I missed it!
