# Displaying Name Fields

[v5.1.5 @ Win10]  
I’d like to do the following in displaying a person in a report (e.g., descendant tree graphical report) or graph:

- Use the format “Surname Given-Name” – without the “,” in between
- Include the personal title (if available) – preferably on a separate line after the name

I tried searching but have not found any reference of separate variables for the name components and title toward accomplishing the above

Any pointer/suggestion would be appreciated.

The [Display Name Editor](https://gramps-project.org/wiki/index.php/Gramps_5.1_Wiki_Manual_-_Settings#Display_Name_Editor) is your starting point for customizing this name in the GUI.

The field names are listed in the **Names** portion of the [Gramps Data Model](https://gramps-project.org/wiki/index.php/Gramps_Data_Model) diagram.
