6.1 FamilySearch beta testing

Could you update on projected happenings?

I am very curious about how the integration will support multiple FS profiles matching a Person in Gramps. And vice-versa, FS profiles that have cross-contamination from incorrect merges or mismatched citations. (So one FS profile might partially match multiple Gramps Persons. ) And some that are pure fantasy with horrible research.

And what of the recently added FS feature called the User Owned Tree or Controlled Edit Tree (CET)? So there will be valid as duplicate profiles too.

(FindAGrave has valid Cenotaph memorials that augment interment memorials. And there are duplicates. Some that are indiscovered. Some that are contested. Some that are being reviewed before being merged.)

We are still waiting to get our certification. I’ll ask Gordon what progress is being made, but they haven’t asked us to make any changes yet.

We decided against implementing the Controlled Edit Tree in the initial version.

Could input from @grocanar be pursued to make certain that portal features created for FamilySearch will be adaptable to other services. We may need to cultivate discussions about making it valuable for improving the Geneanet portal.
